Cala d’hort is a small cove home to a beach café/restaurant and a shingly beach. The beach looks out onto Es Vedra – the magnetic rock. It’s somewhere I’d always wanted to go but never found the time or had a way to get there. This year having the car I got the girls up nice and early and we drove over and up the Cliffside to the viewpoint. There’s parking all the way down the hill towards the beach, but you’ve gotta get there early! It was super windy the morning we went and the waves were crashing against the shore. It wasn’t exactly weather for laying out and swimming so we went for the photo opp and headed back to San An waiting for the sun to come out. I would like to try the restaurant though, I’ve only heard good things.
Something strange to note as Es Vedra is known as the mysterious magnetic island – as we walked down to the beach from the viewpoint Ariel tried to watch back the videos she took but they were all grey fuzz. Strange right? From an iPhone 6!
